eGirlHelp reader Ted asked the following:
So, I asked a girl if she was interested in going to prom with me (nothing else implied, it really is just going to the prom because otherwise neither of us would go) and she said “I’ll consider it”.
1: What does that mean?
2: What do I do now?
Do I call, wait a week, or what (we’re on spring break, so I won’t see her for a week or so).
The answer to this problem is actually very simple. First off, this is your PROM. It’s not just another dance. This will be the culmination of your 4-year high school career, all into one night. Do you really want to spend it with a girl that gave you an answer of “I’ll consider it”?
If I were you, I’d evaluate all possible options. In fact, this goes for anyone who is looking to attend their senior prom. Find a girl that you will enjoy spending one of your last high school memories with. It will be a great thing, and if you go with the wrong girl you will regret it. Who cares what others think in terms of who you go with? Please yourself before you please others.
Asking the girl can be difficult too, but there are several popular ways to do it. First off, you could put shaving cream on her car windows (not the doors it might screw it up) saying ‘Prom?’ with your name below. Another way could be to get the janitor to let you slip flowers into her locker. You’ll be able to give her a note along with a bouquet of roses. Just make sure you are by her when she opens the locker.
Hopefully you go to the prom with the right girl. Anyone who gives you an answer other than “yes” is not someone you should be wasting your time with. Find the right person to go with, ask her correctly, and you can be sure that you’ll create a long-lasting lifetime memory.
Remember, you can ask questions about girls too. Just use the contact form at the top of the page. You will get a public response within a day or two!
